According to the Copernicus ECMWF report, the trend of breaking records that was observed for most of 2023 also has persisted into 2024, as January has been reported as the warmest January on record.

Findings from IPCC’s Synthesis Report shows:

1. many climate-related risks are higher for any given future warming level.

2. Projected long-term impacts are up to multiple times higher than currently observed.

3. High risks are now assessed to occur at lower global warming levels.
